Growing Michigan’s Life Sciences Industry

Yesterday, we hosted Governor Gretchen Whitmer for a Roundtable discussion on Growing Michigan’s Life Sciences Industry. Governor Whitmer joined a panel of legislators and economic development and industry professionals from around the state, representing different industry sectors and stages of growth.

The discussion covered several categories that are important to success and growth of Michigan’s life sciences industry, including Michigan’s business climate, access to capital, education, talent and workforce initiatives, innovation and commercialization, and industry growth and competitiveness. The discussion created the foundation for an ongoing, collaborative dialogue on strategic growth initiatives between the industry and policymakers.
